I am descendant of a reputable family. I was born in London. My paternal
grandfather was an admiral of the English fleet. When I was ten years old my
great uncle died childless and I was recognized as Lord Byron. Two years later, I was sent to Harrow School in the north of London.
When I was eleven years old I read a complete collection of English poets.
Then, when I was fifteen I fell in love with my distant cousin. I
continued my studies at Cambridge in where I started a lasting relationship
with John Cam Hobhouse. Later, I received a painful review of my first volume of poetry, called Hours of Idleness. However, in 1809, I
took my seat in the House of Lords. Some years later, I returned to London and
I died in 1824 and I was considered as a hero in Greece.
